Bouwmeester has been responsible for Nissan marketing communications since 2011, and while his background is digital, his strategic focus is to break the traditional silos of advertising in favour of a branded content approach that combines the best of all worlds. He’s behind Nissan's recent involvement in Canada's Got Talent, and prior to that, Nissan hosted its own 30 minute show on CityTV called The Nissan Innovation Challenge, pushing the boundaries of branded content.
Bouwmeester was previously with Chrysler Canada, and had a brief stint on the agency side working with car brands such as Mazda and Hyundai.
